Tied for first at CyberSea Festival 2026
Between 28 and 30 July 2026 five members of havce packed their laptops and went to Mamaia, on the Romanian Black Sea coast, for the CyberSea Festival 2026.
What CyberSea is
CyberSea is organised by Women4Cyber Romania together with the Romanian National Directorate for Cyber Security (DNSC), the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) and the Council of Europe’s Cybercrime Programme Office, and it runs on the seafront in Mamaia, Constanța.
Three days of workshops, keynotes, live demos, an escape room, a hackathon and a Capture The Flag played out over qualifiers and finals.
The competition
The CTF was split across the three days: qualifiers first, then finals.
Format-wise it was a mix of the usual category: web, reverse engineering, binary exploitation, crypto, forensics and OSINT
We finished the finals level on points with the team at the top of the scoreboard. The tiebreaker based on solve times is what separated us from the first place.
